World Blues is not a genre. It is the sound of human experience searching for dignity, where groove-centered guitar gives birth to songs, stories, and improvisations that invite genuine human connection.
Biography
American-born guitarist, singer, and songwriter Garrick Davis is the creator of Garrick Davis World Blues. After decades in the San Francisco Bay Area music scene, Davis relocated to Hungary in 2024, where he is building a Central European touring presence with a live show rooted in groove, storytelling, expressive musicianship, and songs drawn from lived experience.
Joined by Canadian-born drummer Sly Juhas and Hungarian bassist Márton Éged, the trio delivers engaging performances marked by emotional depth, spontaneous interaction, and a strong connection with audiences.

World Blues is Garrick Davis's musical philosophy rooted in the belief that the Blues is not simply a genre, but a reflection of the human experience itself.
Blending Blues, Soul, Rock, Gospel, Jazz, and global influences, Garrick Davis World Blues combines groove-driven songwriting, expressive guitar work, improvisation, and stories drawn from lived experience. The guitar serves as both rhythmic foundation and second voice, shaping the music as much as the lyrics themselves. Anchored by a deeply musical rhythm section, the songs move fluidly between subtle support and powerful momentum, allowing each performance to evolve organically in the moment.
Themes of dignity, resilience, love, loss, redemption, and human connection run throughout the work, creating performances that are both intimate and expansive.
